Welcome to Blackjack European Rules

Mega Money Mine Blackjack is one of the most popular and recognized games in modern casinos. It offers the best percentage of return when the player is patient and keeps track of all cards which have been used.

Our casino version of Blackjack is played using European Blackjack rules. Blackjack is a game where the player competes against the dealer. The game is played on a semi-circular table with 5 playing positions and wagers are placed in the circles provided. Cards are dealt from a deck of cards called a shoe containing 4 standard 52-card decks (no jokers) that are shuffled after each hand.

The basic rule of the game is get a hand higher than the dealer without going over 21. If the face value of your cards is a Blackjack (Ace and a face card), or if the dealer's cards are lower than yours you win !!!

How to Play Blackjack European Rules

Our casino version of blackjack is played using European Blackjack rules with Four 52-card decks that are shuffled after each hand. There are 5 playing positions you can choose from and you can play up to 5 hands of blackjack at the same time. Each hand played is a separate wager against the dealer.

Objective

The goal is for the player's hand to add up to 21 or have a hand that is higher than the dealer.

Dealer's Options

The dealer must hit on all hands totaling 16 or less and stand on all hands totaling 17 or more.

How to Play

When starting the Blackjack European Rules game for the first time, the blackjack table is empty – no cards or wagers are on the table and the default wager amount is active.

You now decide how much you want to wager and how many hands you want to play and then place your wager(s) on the table. Once you have completed placing your wager(s) you can start the game by clicking on the DEAL button.

Two cards are dealt at each player position that has a wager and two cards are given to the dealer. One of the dealer's cards remains face down and all other cards are turned face up.

As soon as the last card is turned face up you are able to the HIT or STAND. and when applicable you are able to SPLIT, DOUBLE, or buy INSURANCE. If possible you have to decide to SPLIT or DOUBLE before choosing to HIT or STAND. Once you've made your decision to buy INSURANCE you can then SPLIT, DOUBLE, HIT or STAND.

If your dealt hand contains an Ace and a 10 or a face card then you have a BLACKJACK, also called a NATURAL, and play is automatically moved to the next available hand.

If the value of your hand exceeds 21 then you have gone BUST and have lost this hand and play automatically moves to the next available hand.

When the player's hand(s) are completed the dealer's hand is played out. Once the dealer's hand is complete, your hand(s) is compared to the dealer's hand to determine win(s) or loss(es) and to update your casino account balance accordingly.

To play again you click on the REBET button and then click on the DEAL button.

Blackjack European Rules Hands

Bust

All hands that exceed 21 lose, even if the dealer also goes BUST. If the dealer goes BUST but the player's hand is under 21 the player wins.

Blackjack

All hands that are dealt an Ace and a 10 or a face card win, unless the dealer also has a BLACKJACK – a PUSH..

Insurance Bets

All hands that purchased INSURANCE win if the dealer has a BLACKJACK – you will break even; if the dealer doesn't have a BLACKJACK the INSURANCE bet loses.

Push

If the dealer's hand total and the player's hand total are the same then the hand is a tie or PUSH and the player's bet is returned.

Other

If the dealer's hand and the player's hand are both under 21 the hands are compared. If the player's hand is closer to 21 the player wins, if the dealer's hand is closer to 21 the player loses.

Blackjack European Rules Buttons

The COIN buttons are used to choose and adjust the size of your bet. The bets can only be changed or added between games.

The DEAL button starts a new game of Blackjack.

The HIT button tells the dealer to deal you another card. You can HIT as many times as you wish until your hand goes bust or you decide to STAND.

The STAND button ends your hand and moves game play to the next available hand – your next hand or the completion of the dealer's hand.

The SPLIT button is only available if the first two cards dealt are a pair. The SPLIT button causes :

1.Your original single hand to be split into two separate hands

2.Places a second wager on the table equal to your original wager

3.If you purchase INSURANCE and then Split your hand, the hand will no longer be covered by Insurance

4.You are dealt a second card for each new hand

5.If you split Aces you will receive only 1 more card to complete your hand and if the second card is a face card or 10 it is not a blackjack. You cannot split your hand(s) again.

The DOUBLE button is only available if the first two cards dealt total 9, 10 or 11. The DOUBLE button doubles your original wager and you receive only 1 more card to complete your hand. The DOUBLE button is not available on hands that have been SPLIT.

An INSURANCE bet is the player betting that the dealer has a blackjack. The INSURANCE box is only displayed when the Dealer's face up card is an Ace. Click Yes for the hands that you wish to purchase insurance, and no for the hands you do not . The cost of insurance is half your original bet and pays out 2 to 1 if the dealer gets blackjack. If the player purchases INSURANCE and then Splits their hand, the hand will no longer be covered by Insurance.  If the player purchases INSURANCE and then Doubles their hand, only the initial wager is doubled.

The REBET button resets the Blackjack game by removing the cards from the table and retaining the wager(s) on the table.

Rules of Blackjack European Rules

1. This casino version of Blackjack is played using European Blackjack rules with Four 52-deck cards (jokers removed) that are shuffled after each hand.

2. You may draw as many additional cards as wanted as long as the value of your hand does not exceed 21. If you go over 21, you go BUST, and you automatically loose the hand.

3. The dealer must stand on a hard or soft 17 or higher and draw on a hard or soft 16 or lower.

4. Face cards (the Jack, Queen and King) and 10s all have a value of ten.

5. An Ace has a value of either 1 or 11. Any combination of cards that contains an Ace card and whose value does not exceed 21 is referred to as a ‘soft hand’. An Ace adopts the value most beneficial for your hand. For example, an Ace and eight will add up to 19 but if the player chooses to take another card that would cause the hand's value to exceed 21 the Ace will revert to a value of 1.

6. If you are dealt an Ace and a 10 or face card this is called a BLACKJACK and your hand will STAND automatically. If you beat the dealer with a BLACKJACK you are paid out at 3 to 2.

7. If you are dealt a pair you may SPLIT your hand. This means that your pair is divided into two separate hands with two separate wagers. A second wager – equal to your original wager – is automatically placed on your second hand. You play both hands as separate hands.

8. If you have SPLIT a pair of aces and then draw a card with a value of ten then this is not a BLACKJACK. Such a hand would have a value of 21. It beats the dealer's hand value less than 21 and ties – called a PUSH – against the dealer's hand value of 21 except if the dealer's hand is a BLACKJACK. This rule also applies to splitting pairs of cards with a value of ten. Should you split a pair of tens (or face cards) and then receive an ace this hand is not a BLACKJACK.

9. If you split Aces you will receive only 1 more card to complete your hand and if the second card is a face card or 10 it is not a blackjack. You cannot split your hand(s) again.

10. If the value of your initial two cards is 9, 10 or 11 then you are allowed to DOUBLE. This is a wager that your hand total with your next card will be higher than the dealer’s completed hand. The wager costs as much as your original bet, but should you win you will be paid double of your total wager (or four times your original wager.)

11. If the dealer's face up card is an Ace you may purchase INSURANCE. INSURANCE is purchased prior to playing your hand(s). If the player purchases INSURANCE and then Splits their hand, the hand will no longer be covered by Insurance.  If the player purchases INSURANCE and then Doubles their hand, only the initial wager is doubled.

If you want to find out more about the types of hands in Blackjack refer to the Blackjack Hands section.

If your hand beats the dealer's hand then you have won. Refer to the Blackjack Limits and Payouts section to find out more about how much each hand is worth.
